Baby Faith was born on 8 March 2016. We knew before Faith arrived that she would have a heart defect and Trisomy 21 (down syndrome). We didn't know we would be spending so much time in the hospital due to her heart defect. Faith fell ill on 14 April, just a month and a half after birth. She was admitted to Savanah memorial for about a week and when things got worse she was sent to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta where she recovered for another 3 weeks. Faith was scheduled for her heart surgery (CAVC) repair on 14 July. Initially things were going great until it was discovered she was silently aspirating while eating. She then had nissen fundoplocation and gtube surgery on 29 July and things got worse from there. Faith was already diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and this complicates things with her recovery. During this time financially it has been difficult paying the bills and taking care of things in Atlanta while our family has been shuttled back and forth between family members and home. Anything would help us out tremendously as we've exhausted our savings.
