Help Bobby Live Independently
At a healthy and active 15 years old, he was diagnosed with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type III. He was told by a team of doctors at Children's Hospital in Boston that he would be in a weelchair by age 25 and most likely wouldn't make it past 30. He's 36 now and has managed to beat the odds by keeping a positive outlook and not giving in.
A series of recent falls has seriously affected his mobility and because of the disease he is unable to rehabilitate.
He has a small piece of land he's been living on for years with plans to build a home to continue living independently. His camper trailer is no longer suitable. He now requires a handicap accessible home.
Bobby's friends and family need to raise at least $100,000 to build a suitable home for him. If you know Bobby, he's not the type of person to ask for help. For those who know him best, he needs help. It's a matter of pride for him to live independently and he's humbled by this process. Please donate whatever you can and please share this on social media with your friends. The more you share, the more successful the outcome will be. Together, we can build a house for Bobby. Thank you so much !
