My name is Judi Weaver Appel and I live in Texas.  I am raising funds for my 75 year old Mom who lives in a mobile home park in San Marcos, California who has been diagnosed with metastic bone cancer from a primary kidney tumor.  A recent spinal STAR ablation procedure has left her in extreme pain and with almost no mobility.  She can't walk to her bathroom and needs assistance to get out of bed and get on a portable pot near her bed.  She needs a wheel chair ramp so that she can be transported out of her home safely to recieve radiaton treatments.  She cannot possibly walk up or down the 5 steps at her home. The funding that you donate will be used to build a safe platform and wheel chair ramp out of her front door.  I need these funds by August 20th 2016 in order to get a ramp built by August 30th.  Your donation means so much to me because my Mom lives almost at the national level of poverty for a single Senior citizen.  She has no retirement funds to draw upon, only social security which is barely enough to pay for her rent, food, gas and clothing.  I will be so thankful to have this ramp as it is the only way that me and my siblings will be able to transport her to radiation treatments safely.  The longer we wait to get her to cancer radiation appointments, the more pain she suffers.
