Hi everyone,
My name is Stephanie. My son's name is Joshua. He was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) when he was 22. He achived remission and was cancer free for 7 years. He met the love of his life,Sara and, 7 months ago they had a beautiful baby girl named Lennyx. 3 weeks ago,(July 16th) he was again diagnosed with the ALL. A Relaps was not what any of us wanted and lived in fear of happening. He has been hospitalized since the 16th of July and the expenses are adding up. He is recieving a new treatment that is very expensive. It is called Blincyto. He does have insurance, but it does not cover everything. He will be 30 in two weeks.
What is BLINCYTO?
BLINCYTO is a prescription medicine used to treat a certain type of acute
lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a cancer of the
blood in which a particular kind of white blood cell is growing out of control.
He is also going to have to travel to Philadelphia, Pa for a bone marrow transplant once he achives a remission. Due to our local hospital no longer having a bone marrow transplant team.
A bone marrow transplant is a procedure to replace damaged or destroyed bone marrow with healthy bone marrow stem cells. Bone marrow is the soft, fatty tissue inside your bones. The bone marrow produces blood cells.
Any and all money raised will be used for medical expenses and helping his family cope with the added expenses.
He loves his little princess so very much and would love to see her grow up, see her go to school, get married ect. Without this treatment and the transplant this will not happen.Any and all help will keep this very special young man with his wife, daughter, mother, father and siblings for as long as the good lord will allow.
