Please be advised that the Stroke Doctor is a 501(C)(3) designated foundation. Please consult your advisor for tax purposes and I will work to get receipts.
This Go Fund Me is to raise funds for the creation of a local swimming opportunity for Clay County. All proceeds will go to The Stroke Doctor Swim Foundation's Clay County Aquatics Initiative that Shawn Delifus (RIP) started and Kyle Casias who has taken the project to near completion.
Stroke Doctor Mission:
To provide aquatic programming that will advance the sport of swimming by inspiring communities to grow and evolve.
Those that have been in the Clay swimming community understand the challenge of keeping a program going. We have had a number of programs come and go and the quality has been allowed to decline for the competitive swimmer. In spite of these challenges, this small community has produced Olympians, Olympic Qualifiers, College swimmers, High School State-Champions and finalists, FLAG Champions and finalists, Master's National Champions and the list goes on. All these achievements are without a local facility that they can call home.
That will be changing in 2016.
Shawn Delifus (RIP), Kyle Casias and with the help of Loggerhead Aquatics have secured the Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club swimming facility.
The pool is a 6 lane, 25-yard pool, with a deep-water well. The current renovations are near completion and the program will be starting in August!
As part of the agreement to gain access, Stroke Doctor will be responsible for the following items, to provide Loggerhead Aquatics with the necessary items to provide practices:
Aquacal Heat-Pumps - $33000
Cold-Season Heating Cost - $12000
Lane Ropes - $4000
Pool Covers - $2000
Additional Equipment - $2500
I am asking for your help. I don’t have kids swimming in this community but everyone knows I still try to splash around once in awhile. I will donate the first $500 to this fund raising. I ask each family to take the time to make a donation and to ask friends and family to do the same. If we make it past the $30000 mark I will donate another $500. Please forward to friends and family. This will not be successful without your help.
