This is Saony Santana.  18years old. A  relative in the Dominican Republic. I met Shaony 3 years ago on a trip to the Dominican Republic visiting her mother (my Fiances aunt)and she was one of the most happy and energetic 15 yrs old I've ever met.  She was in a car accident on October 18th 2015. After a few surgeries her leg needed screws to help the bone recover. That device had to be remove back in MAY and its still  in her leg, damaging her bone and tissue.

Doctors wont do the surgery if the 150,000 pesos (about 3,000 us dollars)  needed isnt paid up front.

Saony comes from a very low income family, her insurance is "maxed out" (looks like theres a limit on the amount  insurance policies can cover in a year in the Dominican Republic) and they cant afford to pay for the procedure without it.
Her family sold all the very little  they had and have saved every dime they can for her but still dont have enough for the surgery.
We have open this campaing trying to help them put together the ramaining  amount. Once we have a good amount together, Funds will be deposited into an account under my name, I will then withdrew the balance and send it to her via Western Union so she can get her surgery done asap
