Ethan’s Medical Expenses

Hello, my name is Ethan. I was in an accident where I sustained trauma to my right arm while gathering a rope that was tied to a watercraft.
I was airlifted from the Grove Hospital to St. John's in Tulsa. After 2 hours, I was put in an ambulance and taken to Hillcrest for emergency vascular surgery.
After nearly 4 hours of surgery, the surgeon said under the skin, the only thing holding my arm together was bone. Not broken, but everything around it was severed. Bicep, tricep, tissue, nerves, and my brachial artery. He had to go into my groin, take a section of that artery, and bypass the one in my arm to get the blood flowing. I spent 8 days in the ICU and 6 in a specialty care unit before I was moved to an inpatient rehabilitation hospital for another 7 days.
I currently have no mobility in my arm and just have to wait for my nerve to grow back before I can start rehab. I am doing outpatient occupational therapy twice a week for passive movements. I am home with my family and will take this semester off from school to focus on my recovery.
As you can imagine, my medical expenses are astronomical and will continue accumulating during this long road to recovery. Thank you so much for reading my story.
