As most of you know Johhny Craft was diagnosed with
Multiple Myeloma which is  cancer in the bone marrow.
There is no cure, but it can go into remission.

He was diagnosed on January 19th, 2016 (on his birthday)
Treatment began - the very next week
He took Chemo daily (pill form), and injections (Valcade) Now the next step for Johnny is a  Bone Marrow Transplant.

He is currently in remission. Once in remission he had to receive tests to see if he was a viable candidate for the bone marrow transplant.  Praise the LORD! Johnny qualified.

Details of the transplant: It will happen at Duke in the Bone Marrow clinic.  He is to report to Duke on August 8th, 2016. Treatment will be every day for 3 weeks straight. Then he will spend up to a week in the hospital. It will take about 30 days in total. During which, he must stay near the hospital due to the serious nature of potential side effects.  So an apartment must be rented for this time. He also has to be in as sterile an environment as possible. He can't be around pets, children, sickness, etc.  He will also have to be on a special diet.  The treatment will create a diminished quality of life and he will be fairly sick during this time.

Details on Johnny's life:
He is 65 years old with  2 Children and  4 grandchildren.
He was the Grifton Town Commissioner  for 24 years in total.
He served on the Grifton Fire Department for 42 years (as Secretary for 3 yrs)
Haiti Gospel Mission - served for 8 years and served as Board Chairman until he got sick.
He worked with Pitt County Sheriff's Department for 28 years. Was a Detective in Major Crimes when he retired.
He is active in his Church -  (Grifton FWB Church)

Anyone that knows Johnny Craft knows what a kind, sweet, helpful person he is.  He would give you the shirt off of his back.  He has done so much for others and his community it is time for us to give back by helping Johnny and Sandra with this upcoming financial burden.

Also, please continue to keep them in your prayers as we know that God has the perfect plan for them.
