Angela Martin is still in the ICU and fighting for her life. She is on life-support due to some complications from this morning when she had to have an emergency scope due to vomiting blood. The GI team were able to find where she was bleeding from and they were able to repair the damage in her esophagus. She was started her back up on dialysis today after the procedure. The doctors were hoping to have her off the ventilator after her emergency scope, but the G.I. doctor felt it would be best to keep her on the ventilator through the night, so she does not have the risk of the reoccurrence of bleeding and to let her stabilize. She was given two units of blood today and they’re hoping that her levels stay within a normal range overnight. She has started the process of being evaluated to be on the liver transplant list and it is a very lengthy process. We were told yesterday that she made the list but apparently we’re misinformed. Please continue to send prayers for her to gain her strength and endurance thru this difficult time as well as strength for her husband Andy and her kids. Harmony and Lyric keep asking for their mommy and have been asking to see her. It is heartbreaking to tell them that they can’t see their mommy yet because she is still sick but getting better when the uncertainty is real.
