My name is Hyisheem Calier I come from the combined housing project of Elliott Chelsea, located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. I am the the founder of H.O.O.D. Brothers LLC, a lifestyle brand consisting of the acronym, Hustle Out Of Desperation, which is my personal mantra, driving the message of inspiring others to pursue your dreams regardless of your physical environment or disadvantages.

It has always been a dream of mine to attend law school. Prior to my graduation this year with an MSW, I have had multiple conversations with my mentors about what my next steps should be. This led to my intention to enroll in prep courses that would increase my chances of attending an excellent law school. At the moment, I have found a way to fund my prep classes, but have not found a way to pay for the test as well as my applications for schools and other preparation expenses; With that in mind, I am asking for financial support toward my goal of going to law school. This ambition is driven by my commitment to making a difference in my neighborhood and other neighborhoods like mine. I believe that harnessing the law is one way to leverage more resources for my community.
