2H Project in Cambodia October 2023
This October I will be travelling to Cambodia with the 2H Project. The 2H Project’s aim is to make maternal care excellent wherever it is by connecting health professionals from Australia (like myself!) with front line workers in Cambodia. The maternal mortality rate in low income countries (such as Cambodia) is 462 per 100,000 births - compared to only 11 per 100,000 births in high income countries such as Australia.
Every woman deserves the right to high quality maternity and obstetric care, wherever they live. That is where the 2H Project comes in. I will be volunteering there amongst a small group of midwives and professionals to teach and share our knowledge, particularly on obstetric emergencies (think pre-eclampsia, postpartum haemorrhage, shoulder dystocia).
The aim is to raise $3000 before the trip, however the more money we are able to raise the more midwives we can teach!
If you are able to, please donate or share this post.
All funds raised will be going directly towards the project (all costs associated with travel, accomodation etc I will be paying for myself).
All donations over $2 receive a tax receipt.
