Mike Pettigew has been a longtime supporter, fan, and assistant coach of cross country and track & field for 25 years. Most of his runners can remember him distinctively cheering that they are all "state champions," feeling inspired during workouts and races by his support and love. He is a prime example of a servant leader, and he needs our help.

We recently found out that Mike has been living homeless. Furthermore, he has significant medical expenses due to glaucoma that has left him blind in one eye.

Our goals are to raise money to support Mike in an apartment for one year. Friends of Mike have already been putting him up in the College Park area at a reasonable rate, and he has been working in school maintenance. During this time, we are solidifying medical insurance and getting him on his feet with a secure and stable income.

We are paid through July but will need funds after that. The money is going into an account that we will manage to pay for the apartment as well as food and groceries.
