Steve Gregalunas bio:
Bought his first puppy a Rottweiler named "Bo" in 1986. Steve wanted two dogs so he purchased a female Rottweiler puppy named "Kayla" her sire was owned by a great breeder and titled to Schutzhund III. Steve contacted the breeder to inquire about schutzhund and they invited Steve out to watch training. That same day he was asked to "work a dog", he knew nothing about the sport but put the sleeve on. From that moment he was immediately "hooked". First started schutzhund in 1987. Steve titled his 1st dog in 1992, a Rottweiler named "Urich" he raised as a puppy and titled to schutzhund III. Since then Steve has trained 12 dogs (5 Rottweilers, 2 German Shepherds, 5 Belgian Malinois) zero to three. He has competed in 7 Regional, 15 National, and 6 world championships. Steve has won 5 regional championships and placed in the top 3 seven times. Steve has won 2 national championships and placed in the top 3 five times. Steve placed in the top 10 at the IFR (Rottweiler world championship)
Steve worked his first trial in 1993.
He has worked countless Club trials
Front half helper at 5 Regional Championships
Back half helper at 2 Regional Championships
Front half helper at 5 National Championships
Back half helper at 10 National Championships
Front half at the AKC/ GSDCA Inaugural Working Dog Championship
He has also done schutzhund 1 & 2 in many Regional & National championships and one world championship.
Organizations Steve has worked trials for USA, DVG, AWDF, AWMA, USRC, IFR, AKC, UDC, & NAWB.
Steve fell in love with Qenny ot Vitosha. The power in his bite. The willingness in obedience. The natural overall tracking abilities on the track. He knew he wanted a Qenny puppy. To his surprise his amazing wife arranged for just that. The bouncing biting Valentine along with 4 years of hard work has brought Steve to qualify for the FMBB Malinois World Championship.
He will be traveling to Aubigny-sir-Nére, FRANCE with a team of 5 other competitors to represent the United States. Steve is leaving May 4th returning May 16th.
He is also traveling to Slovenia in September for FCI-IPO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
He feels very blessed to have this opportunity.
Steve's love for the sport not only drives him to train his own dogs. He takes pride in helping others through his training and coaching methods achieve titles on their variety of breeds. The people he's helped range in age as young as 16 to as mature as their 80's.
