Help save my home

My name is Shane.
I never thought that I would find myself in this position, but here I am. I am reaching out on a Go Fund Me page as the last resort. I am a single male who has a worthy full-time job, but even though I’m living a simple life with no extras, I just keep getting deeper in the hole. I recently heard that 300 Canadians per day are claiming bankruptcy. 300! No one wants to be that statistic, but I can relate.
It all started when CRA decided to re-open my mother’s estate. My only savings was my inheritance (and it wasn’t big) and they simply took it, claiming my mother owed them. Then came the mortgage rate increase. My monthly cost for mortgage alone doubled. I started to fall behind in everything. Working longer hours would not even cover my expenses. I know this sounds like the story of a lot of Canadians right now and it is wrong, but how do I not lose my home, which is about to go into foreclosure?
I have done all the things that Canadians know to do in situations like this. In order to make ends meet, I was determined to get a second full-time job. I have applied for 31 jobs. Jobs I have all the skills and experience for. 31!. Some interviews, some responses, but I was rejected mostly because I don’t meet the ethnic requirements for the Government to subsidize my salary.
I have reached out to every charity service, provincial assistance, hardship requests with my various utility companies only to discover that I’m not eligible because I own a home. They will *only* help after I lose my home, and I become homeless. How is that helpful?
In summary, I am asking for help. I need to raise 2800.00 before next week, or the mortgage company starts foreclosure on my home. If I can fend them off for 1 month, I can then sell my house and hopefully find a place for me and my two dogs. If they foreclose, I walk away with nothing. If I raise the 2800.00 necessary to hold them back for a month, then I can either attain a second job or I can sell my home.
If you are willing and able to help, I will pay it forward someday.
Thank you for hearing my story…
