Help Heidi Kick Cancer's Butt

My best friend Heidi discovered a lump in her right breast in March of this year. Finding a lump in your breast is very scary for any woman, but you always hope that it turns out to be nothing. Unfortunately, after extensive testing, Heidi was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. She started chemo in May and finished June 16th. Currently, she is waiting to get an MRI to see if the Chemo has shrunk her tumor enough to get a double mastectomy and hopefully become cancer-free. If this round of chemo didn't shrink the tumor enough for surgery, she will need to do 12 more weeks of chemo.

Heidi is a true friend who has always been there when I have needed her and never asks for anything in return. I met Heidi while we were working at Hit Inc with people with disabilities and she was going to school for her nursing degree.  Since earning her degree she has been a compassionate and skilled nurse who has helped many people through difficult times and has delivered many beautiful babies including my own kiddos. She is involved in her church and participates in school activities with her 8-year-old son, Jayden. She has managed to do all this while working full-time as a labor and delivery nurse and continuing her education to become a nurse practitioner. She is the center of Jayden's world and I have always been in awe of how she can manage to put in 80 hours a week between school and work and still spend quality time with her son. Heidi is the type of person who goes out of her way to help others and now she needs our support and prayers.

Heidi is insured, but the costs of cancer are still overwhelming. She has missed many days of work due to her chemo treatments making her sick and exhausted and she has had to put school on hold until she has won this battle with cancer. Any amount you feel comfortable donating would help her with her mounting medical costs and would be greatly appreciated.
