Help Save Leroy
Donation protected
Dog lovers, friends and family.
This passed Thursday, July 21st at 8:45pm Leroy was hit by a car in a tragic accident. The good news is that as of now Leroy is slowly but surely recovering from multiple injuries to his chest and lungs: rib fractures and pulmonary contusions, some internal bleeding in his abdomen, shredded skin from road rash, etc.
The bad news is that to save this loving companion it will cost about $8,000 in veterinarian(s) bills.

If he wasn't going to make it, or if he was already very old, maybe it would have made sense not to bring him to the vet hospital. The fact of the matter is that he's got at least 5 good years in front of him, and he's my Dads number one priority after cheering on his grown children and two grandkids.

For the past 9 years, through some very thick and some very thin, my father has had Leroy. As the kids moved out and parents moved on, Leroy has stuck by my Dad's side day and night. He even sometimes makes sales calls with him. While other people have hobbies or spend money on vacations, my Dad invests his love and attention to his faithful canine friend.

The vet in Monroe Connecticut cost $4,176.00 for the first nights procedures. The following days at the Katonah veterinary hospital cost $2,378.00 and the additional services were $392.54 plus a $508.15 follow up visit. In total, $7,354.69 which will likely rise to almost $8,000 by this weekend given the additional check up that will be required.
My dad, and most Americans for that matter, cannot afford the almost $8,000.00 of sudden bills. He has already put down deposits and would normally take on the balance as debt, but at this point I have convinced him to please seek the help of family, friends, and canine lovers the internet wide who will understand and lend financial and emotional support.
If you have it in your heart to help a fun loving and innocent animal or my father and family, your donation to help in saving Leroy would mean more than words emotionally and keep from creating a steeper debt financially. All funds will go directly towards checks for the veterinary bills incurred from this accident.

Thanks so much for your thoughts, prayers and donations.
Love,
Christian
