Donald Paveloff Support

Dear Friends,

To celebrate the life of Donald Alan Paveloff, the memorial service and burial will be at the Rose Hills Cemetary, Whittier, on Monday, October 3rd, at 11:00am. You will enter in Gate 17, and drive to the  Hillside Chapel.

Donald Alan Paveloff passed away today, September 27, 2016 at 11:30am. He fought to the end. He told his wife this morning that it was time to go home and be with the Lord.

In the book of First Thessalonians, Chapter 4, Verses 13-18 it says, "But we do not want you to be uninformed brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus...For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."

Dear Friends,

Don Paveloff was diagnosed with Stage IV (which is the most advanced form of the disease) Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (Adenocarcinoma) on June 13, 2016. Unknown to Don he has had it for 2 years - no one in the medical field caught this through many blood tests and exams. The Paveloff family needs your support at this time, as the prognosis is not good for this type of cancer and he is not responding to the traditional cancer therapies. We don't know what caused this cancer, but Don has been in the Roofing business for 55 years with Belvedere Roofing and Total Roofing.


Don and his wife Nadya have researched an alternative therapy, which insurance does not cover and have started him on a specialized diet which requires many supplements, medications, and food preparations. This therapy has worked for other lung cancer patients. As you can imagine the therapy is quite expensive, and the funds are needed. If this therapy gives Don a chance to be with his family and friends longer, then it is well worth it no matter the cost. But, that’s where you come in.

  My sister Nadya and her husband Don have both worked to support themselves and children and are the ones who gave, the generous ones, who supported others, never asking for themselves. As this disease progresses, with all the side effects including the coughing, limited breathing and exhaustion, Don was still trying to carry the ladders and climb up roofs to do estimates, but sadly this is almost impossible now. Nadya is on a leave of absence from work to manage the overwhelming tasks that have come with this illness and to be with her husband right now as we don’t know how much time he has on this earth. Please help.

 Don and Nadya and family have had to endure much sadness, after the tragic death of their son 9 years ago we thought the sadness would never end and then 2 months ago our father passed away, and now this sadness. Don and Nadya and family need some hope, encouragement and your ongoing support and prayers.
