Help Gina Battle MS

Donation protected
On June 15, 2017 my dearest friend Gina, who is only 34 years old, was hospitalized for a week to find out she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Since then, her life has been turned upside down. She is a hard working, single mom, and caring nurse practitioner that lives her life to give her kids the best lives they can have. Unfortunately, now with her batteling MS, that has become difficult for her to accomplish.
MS is a non-curable disease, and is potentially disabling, where it attacks the myelin sheath that covers the nerve fibers which causes communication difficulties between your brain and the rest of your body. Her symptoms began when she went to the eye doctor because she was partially blind in one eye. Then was bed bound during her vacation in Florida due to her constantly falling for no reason and, what she explained as, "an electrical shock" that was running throughout her body.
Just before she was diagnosed, she lost her health insurance. She is now stuck with her hospital bills, self paying her Neurology visits, and is trying to find a way to help pay for her treatments. One of her treatments included a $30,000 injection which the Neurologists stated that it would greatly help with her constant flare ups.
She was able to try the injections, but unfortunately this did not work for her. Now that she is continuing to have constant flares where she loses complete control of her body, for the past 7 days she has been wheelchair bound. This possibly could be from the injections. She was admitted to Emory at midnight last night (11/22/17) and was not able to spend Thanksgiving day at home with her family like she had planned. Her new CT Scan revealed more leisons compared to her CT Scan from June, meaning more parts of her nervous system have been affected.
She has been unable to work for the past week, and has been unable to support herself financially for the past 2 months now with this new diagnosis. These bills are only going to get worse. She will now be stuck self-paying for a second hospitilization along with the $30,000 injections that didn't work for her. I've set her goal to $5,000, which may or may not happen, but every little bit will help her greatly! Whether you know her personally, or only know of her through social media, I am asking for everyone who is able to help to please donate. As a nurse practitioner, she makes a living treating others, but is the last person to ask for help when it comes to her own health. With the holidays coming up, I know this will mean everything to her and I would give her my last dollar if she asked. Thank you in advance to those sending prayers and donations!
