They had hopes of expanding the theatre to accommodate more children, and had an excellent design created by an architect who offered his services for free. However, when they took a design to Livonia, they were informed that it would be necessary to first install a $110,000 parking lot before going ahead with building plans.
The MCYT enjoys a national reputation helping focus attention on our hometown. Let's give the MCYT an encore.
Every penny that is donated for the roofing project will go to the roofing project. There are no administration fees involved in this campaign. If MCYT receives more money than is needed for the roof, it will go toward other building needs such as new front doors to replace the rusty and leaky old front doors, insulation, furnace repairs, and electrical upgrades. The needs of building ownership are never ending, as we have found out in the past ten years.
