Wheels For Josh
My name is Annette and I have been married to the love of my life Joshua for almost 17 years now. We have two wonderful kids Alyssa who is 16 and Andrew who is 13. Josh was diagnosed with freidriechs ataxia about 13 years ago. It has been quite the journey learning how to deal with all that means. Each day has different challenges and blessings. The current challenge is transportation, our wheelchair van is on its last leg. It is very rusty and not safe to drive, but we have to, to get anywhere. We live in northern Michigan so public transport is not a option. My dream vehicle would be a MV-1 as I know most people will have no idea what that is...... http://www.mv-1.us/ Basically most vans start out as normal vans and are then modified to fit a wheelchair. What the MV-1 company has done is start with a ramp and built a van around it. It is by far the best wheelchair van out there anywhere. Even the glove box and cup holders are built with a wheelchair in mind. I know this van would change our lives by making it so much easier to get out and see things.
