Hi - my name is Michelle and I am heartbroken to share that Peter Barnes (Barney) my dad sadly passed away in the comfort of his own home on 9th June 2025 after a long time struggling with his medical conditions, my mum lovingly cared for him till the very end.

Dad leaves behind his doting wife Sharon, children Richard, Catherine, William and myself. Also 6 beautiful grandchildren...forever in our hearts dad.

Dad was Wickham Market born and bred. If you were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of knowing my dad he was such a wonderful man, always the first to stand up and help others when he could, although I am sure many would have a story to tell about his younger rebellious days. His passing will leave a huge void in many lives.

I am sure many will know that mum (Sharon) care for dad for many years and is not in a great financial situation to give dad the send off he deserves.

Dad will be cremated as that was his wish. Service date and location to be confirmed. Family Flowers only. If anyone would like to contribute no matter the amount or share this page, we would be endlessly grateful. Every gesture, every bit of support, helps us honour his memory.

All funds will go directly towards funeral and memorial expenses, to support the family with the associated costs. Any remaining funds would go towards a nice well deserved treat for our mum, whose own health has unfortunately been affected over the years while caring for dad.
