Help Krissy - brain surgery
Donation protected
My daughter, Kristine Johnson, has been diagnosed with a rare brain tumor; on her Pineal Gland. This gland is located deep in the center of the brain. Most surgeons won't go into that area of the brain. Currently there are a dozen or so neuro-surgeons in the world that have the knowledge and experience to successfully remove this tumor.
Kristine is 44 years old, married, mother of five children. She lives near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (OK). She’s seen several doctors to try to identify her condition. Ninety percent won’t touch this type tumor; the others, suggest invasive procedures such as cutting a section of the skull out of the front or side of her head. The risk of brain damage with these approaches are high.
She can no longer lay down flat or bend over without experiencing great pain. She has to try to sleep at an angle or sitting up. She has constant pressure in her head, pain that ranges from typical headache pain to migraine strength leaving her incapacitated. She has vision blurriness. She is nauseous all the time and has lost 30 pounds in just the last two months. She needs help, and soon. Her story was featured in a local newspaper: http://www.edmondsun.com/news/all-i-want-is-my-life-back/article_dc2006dc-60fa-11e6-8a1d-83398cf26cbf.html
We’ve found one surgeon that specializes in this type of brain surgery and has the knowledge and experience to treat her. He works out of the Skull Base Institute in Los Angeles, California. I’ve included a link to the institute below. She has health insurance but unfortunately, the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and hospital are not in the plan. We’ve petitioned the insurance company for authorization, but so far they are sticking the “rules” of her policy.
We’ve contacted her congregation and our own church, asking for donations. We are trying a variety of approaches to raise donations. But we know we can't gather the amount of funds we need without Go-Fund-Me and your help.
To cover the medical bills (surgeon, anesthesiologist, hospital, and ancillary expenses )we'll need approximately $200,000. If I can get 200,000 people to donate $1 each, we can make this happen!
As a parent, it breaks my heart to see her in so much pain, to see the worry on my grandchildren's faces; they're scared, they don't want to lose their mother.
So you can see, we have a huge challenge before us… but what is the price of a life?
First, if you’re of faith, PLEASE add Kristine to your prayer group.
Secondly, . I ask that you share this with EVERYONE you know and ask them to share it with everyone they know, etc... If they can help, if they know of any way… PLEASE we need action.
And lastly, if you can donate to HELP KRISSY please give what you can. Every dollar donation no matter how small, is GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

A little bit about Krissy:
Kris has always been a wonderful, caring and giving person. Up until her condition deteriorated, she's been an active volunteer in her community. She's volunteered for the Oklahoma CASA program, worked at local food banks and soup kitchens, and conducted free bible studies for those who want to learn more about Jesus and his teachings. For three of the eight years she's lived in OK, she's received the Presidential National Volunteer Award for her service and dedication to her fellow man (each year highlighted in the New York Times). Three of her five children are adopted; the younger two are brothers who came to her family as a toddler and a newborn with significant health issues, requiring multiple surgerys. Today, both are still special needs children ; but now they're thriving, strong, and happy.
Monitor Krissy's progress and check out the whole gang as we post photos, etc... Right now we're sorting through for pictures that aren't too embarrassing.
Thank you, for all your prayers and your generous support.
