Kenedi Delarosa

Kenedi Marie Delarosa was born September 5th, 2015, we knew immediately how absolutely beautiful she was! She was born with a Port Wine Stain on the right side of her face. For those of you who are not familiar, a Port Wine Stain is a vascular birthmark that will not go away on its own and can become darker and raised as the child grows. Luckily, there is a very effective treatment available, laser therapy. Anthony and Aryn wanted to give their daughter the best life, and that meant treating her birthmark so she would not be teased and made to feel self conscious as she reached school age. Kenedi has been undergoing monthly laser treatments since she was born in September. Her progress has been phenomenal! She still has several more treatments to go until the birthmark is gone. Anthony and Aryn were hopeful that medical insurance would cover the treatments and for the first 10 months of treatments, they paid the in office co-pay and did not receive a bill. Recently, they were blindsided with a large back-charge for previous treatments. Insurance covered a portion of the $3,400.00 treatment but Kenedi's family was still left with a large chunk of it. Adding to the stress of these medical bills, Kenedi's mother Aryn underwent a tonsillectomy in May with major complications including additional surgery, ambulance charge, hospital stays, and many weeks off work. Any contribution you can make to help this family get past these medical bills and focus on raising their beautiful daughter would be so appreciated! I am lucky enough to not only be Aryn's friend, but Kenedi's Godmother as well!
