Tux Needs Your Help

It's only fitting that the nicest, sweetest people have the nicest, sweetest horse. If you know my parents, Bill and Vicki Toth, chances are that they've done something to help you. And they did it out of the kindness of their heart; never asking for anything in return, never asking for any type of recognition.

Along with their other amazing attributes, they're also true animal lovers. Anything the horses ever needed, they did. Always with a smile. Last night, my dad's beloved horse, Tux, experienced an ailment that we later found out is genetic. It seemed like colic and my dad stayed by Tux's side theough the entire night. Ultimately, Dr. Andreason arranged to have Tux seen at the Cornell Ruffian Equine Clinic.

Our neighbor Samantha and my dad rushed Tux to the clinic to learn they got him there just in time. Tux had a twisted small intestine and was given an 85% success rate if we decided to do the surgery.

After almost 4 hours, the surgery was complete and the long, uphill road to recovery begins. Dr. Hurcombe told us that whatever caused this is due to a congenital defect in the intestine which Tux was born with. It was on the verge of rupturing.

Tux has as big of a heart as my parents do and we know he will fight through this and recover. My Parents would never ask anyone for help. That's why I am. With a 4 hour surgery, an overnight stay and a long, uphill recovery, we all know what the medical bills for Tux will be. Any small help would be whole heartedly appreciated.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
