MS Destroying My Dear Friend

This woman is the most caring, loving and selfless person I know. That old saying that bad things happen to good people is absolutely true. I had to watch with an ache in my heart and feeling helpless, while she cried on my shoulder tonight . She is as proud as she is wonderful and might think that asking for help, even though there is nothing wrong with it, isn't an option. This is why I appeal to all the kind people out there that knows how it feels to be down on your luck (me included) to please do what you can to help a good person that needs help.
Another saying that seems to hold true is that when it rains it pours. My friend has done everything right. Went to college, became a teacher and was loving life. Then the difficult news that she has MS was dropped on her. Since her diagnosis over the years, she continued to do her best to be the person she started as, but the disease has continued to rob her of things quite viciously. At this point she finds herself unemployed due to the MS and other medical issues that followed in a 1,2,3 punch. The medication to delay the progression of the disease is costly and not being able to work as a result has led to being 3 months behind in rent and facing eviction. The stress of these circumstances is making the symptoms of the disease even more severe and yet she continues to look for work with the little energy she has when most people would just give up. My hope is to raise enough money in order for her to pay for her meds and catch up on rent while she continues to try to look for work and be able to have a roof over her head and peice of mind while doing so. I just want to ease my friends pain and hope this helps!
