Sharon obituary
After a short battle with cancer, Sharon Diane Price Coleman went on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on July 16, 2016.
Sharon was born on November 22, 1958 in Harlem, NY. She grew up in a loving family with two sisters, Mertina & Darnella Price and one brother Anthony Price. She graduated from Norman Thomas High School in 1976. She gave 17 years of service to Chase Manhattan Bank as a private banking agent and 9 years of service to FAO Schwarz as a shipping supervisor when she retired.
Sharon married Ronald Earl Coleman, a fellow resident of 1330 Webster Ave, Bronx, NY on September 19, 1992 at Walker Memorial Baptist Church. Shortly after the wedding, they relocated to 1485 Fulton Ave, Bronx, NY. There, the couple lived and raised her two children and several nieces and nephews for several years.
Sharon was a driven professional with a love for romance novels, antique dolls and knitting. She also had a green thumb for plants and her family. She was a pillar of strength to her family and friends. Many children born into or extended from the Price family were personally raised by Sharon. She was the Madea of the Price family and often times called by that name. She was a strict disciplinarian and believed in the power of Education. Sharon reinforced learning by teaching many of the Price children reading, writing and arithmetic.
Sharon is survived by her parents Angelina Price and William H. Mills; her two sons Marvin and Corey Price; five sisters: Mertina and Darnella Price, Crystal White, Trace Hoyte and Darcel Mills; two brothers: Anthony Price and William V.
