Sin Seang, Heun, Him, Soun, Khom, Klee, Han, Poul, Kai, Koit, and Ounin are a family from Sihanoukville, Cambodia and THEY NEED YOUR HELP! Their house that they built and have lived in for 15 years is deteriorating and is no longer safe to live in as the foundation is cracking more everyday. The home is extremely dirty and doesn't have land suitable for growing any food. Kai and Koit, two sisters aged 4 and 7, are eager to go to school and learn, but her parents, Poul and Han, cannot afford to send them to even the inexpensive government school. Seang and Heun, the parents and heads of this big family, both face health problems regularly and cannot afford to seek medical help unless they borrow money from other family members or the bank. RECENTLY, THIS FAMILY HAS BEEN UNABLE TO BUY RICE OR FOOD ON A DAILY BASIS. THEY NEED YOUR HELP. END THEIR HUNGER, GIVE THEM ACCESS TO EDUCATION, HELP THEM BUILD A NEW, SAFE HOME AND A FOUNDATION FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. They have already found land for sale nearby where they can build a house and grow their own vegetables. Rather than donating to a large scale charity, you could DIRECTLY impact this family who is suffering and see how you can make a difference. JUST $5 CAN FEED ALL 11 PEOPLE! To hear more details about the family, me, and why i'm here, keep reading!
Klee and Khom, age 16 and 18, work every day in the casino (sometimes the overnight shift). They do not have time or money to go to school, they only work. Soun, age 22, works doing manual labor for very low wages and drives a motorbike taxi. Him works every night in a bar from 7pm-5am. Poul drives a motorbike taxi. Han is 6 months pregnant and takes care of her two daughters Kai and Koit. Since the mother and father of the family, Heun and Seang, can no longer work, this income is not enough to support this family's basic needs. They have gone into debt from borrowing money to use at the clinic and hospital for the parents and Him's baby Ounin.
Hello, my name is India and i'm an American currently living and teaching english in Sihanouk, Cambodia.
I am in Sihanouk specifically because through a long chain of events, I have come to know the Sin family. I lived with their son, Seng, in Thailand for 4 months leading up to his devastating passing on December 5th, 2015 at just 25 years old. This changed the course of my life. He was living and working in Thailand to try and support his family but was mostly unable to do so. I care so much about Seng and his family and it has become extremely important to me to use the resources and privilege i have to help them live a better life. I live here, up the street from the family's home. Since i came here, they have treated me with so much kindness and hospitality. They helped me find a job, a place to live, always help me with anything i need, and protect me from the dangers that exist living in a poor area of Cambodia. If you can give even just a dollar, it would mean the world to me, and this family would be so incredibly greatful.
