Professional Yoga Development

My name is Piper Whitmire, and I am a fulltime Yoga Teacher living and teaching in the Greater Houston Area. 

I am looking to take my teaching to the next level by participating in the Advanced Forrest Yoga Teacher Training being held in Houston at YogaOne Bellaire on August 12th-20th, 2016. 

There are two major perks to doing this particular training.  First, it is local!... which reduces the overall cost significantly.  Second, it is being taught by my Forrest Yoga Mentor - Catherine Allen.  She is a complete and total badass, and I have so much to learn from her. 

The training itself costs $2,200.  Because I am already a teacher and a member of the Forrest Yoga Hoop, I get a 20% discount.  The training will necessitate me taking off 10 days of work, for which I have calculated the income I will be missing out on. 

TRAINING: $2,200 - 20% = $1,760.00

MISSED WORK: $1,240.00

TOTAL FINANCIAL NEED: $3,000.00

I will need to turn in the complete payment certainly before the training starts.  Because spaces are somewhat limited, the sooner I can complete the payment the better.

So, why should you help me? 

First, I did a rough calculation a few months ago, and I realized that with all of the classes I teach I see about 1,000 students/week on average.  That's a lot of people who would benefit immensely from any growth and development that I do as a teacher.

Second, I can't do it without you.  As a fulltime yoga teacher, my income is that of a fulltime yoga teacher (less than that of a public school teacher if that gives you any frame of reference).  You have the opportunity to be an integral part of my yoga path, for which I will be ever grateful.
