Hello friends, family, and supporters,

My name is Seth von Eggers, and I'm looking to travel to Guayaquil, Ecuador from August 21-28th to compete in the 2016 Jr PanAmerican Karate Championships. This will be my second and final year qualifying for the Jr National Karate team, as next year I will have aged out and be unable to compete in the junior divisions. I'm looking to my friends and family to help support me in pursuing this endevor. 

In early July I traveled to Pittsburgh, PA to compete in the 2016 NKF National Championship and Team Trials with the hopes of making the team. I placed 3rd in my 18-20 -84kg Elite Kumite, which earned me a spot as the first alternate. Fortunately, one of the competitors was unable to attend the championships down in Ecuador and now I will be going in his stead. 

I am hungry for this experience. The money invested in me will not only be greatly appreciated, but will become an addition to the motivation that makes me push myself each and every day. I am spending multiple hours a day training and preparing for this event, including my lunch breaks at work. Win or lose, it is about the experience for me. My heart is commited to winning, but I will use the results of the tournament to inspire me for the future, however good or bad they may be.

I am looking to raise a total of $1,500 to help with the trip. The total cost will be much greater than that between the amounts for the flight, hotel, registration fees, food, and spending money. However, I will be funding as much as I can out of my own pocket, as I do not wish to ask for more money than I truly need. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be sincerely and humbly appreiciated.
