Gurdon Camus and Family Flood Fund

(Created by 3M Personal Safety Division Co -Worker, Nancy McAfee- Houston, TX)
Three weeks ago, Central Louisiana suffered massive flooding.  Our co-worker, Gurdon Camus and his daughter, Honor, and their German Shepherd, Sigi were severely affected.   Gurdon has been an employee of Capital Safety for about twelve years and a 3M employee for about one year (Capital Safety was acquired by 3M Personal Safety Division in 2015).   Gurdon and his family reside in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana where 27,000 out of the 28,000 residents were flooded.  Gurdon's house is structurally sound, but they lost everything and need to begin again.   The house has been gutted and they are currently living in a travel trailer.   It will take about $50,000 to fix the home which had about 4- 5 feet of water in it.   On a positive note, Gurdon's vehicles were saved and everyone is safe.   This part of Louisiana is NOT in a flood plain, so no, Gurdon and thousands of other residents had no flood insurance.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will go towards repairing and refurbishing the home and creating a new life for Honor, Sigi and Gurdon.

Many thanks from Gurdon for the many calls and e mails from his co-workers.
