Help Michelle Race For Gold

Hi everyone, My name is Michelle Howson and I'm a hard working and dedicated athlete that believes in following her dreams to the absolute max. I participate in the sport of wheelchair racing, and though I'm still in the early stages I have shown lots of potential for the future. Having won 4 gold medals in my first competitions in the 60m, 100m, 200m and 400m.At the moment I currently race in a chair loaned to me by my racing club, but been in a chair not made especially for you isn't without restrictions. So I am hoping to raise the funds to purchase my own racing chair, as well as funds for travel and accommodation during competition time as most competitions are a considerable distance from home and require an overnight or weekend stay.To give you an idea of the kind of outlay costs I face here are just a few examples: Racing gloves retail at £125, Tyres are £70 each, replacement push rims £160 and a pair of carbon fibre solid wheels are somewhere in the region of £2,000. A racing chair (hold your breath folks) costs around £5,000.So why is this so important to me? In the words of the inspirational speaker Prince EA. 'I don't want to look back on my life and regret the things I didn't do, the risks I didn't take, the dreams I didn't pursue'.'I don't want to look back on my life and say if only I had ....... 'I believe in myself so much! and will work as hard as I have to, to make my dreams come true.
