My dear friend Lindsay has been fighting the good fight against polymyositis for almost four years. Polymyositis is a rare autoimmune disease that attacks your muscles. Lindsay no longer has the muscle strength to carry out normal day-to-day activities and relies on a wheel chair for mobility. 

Despite the severe downside of this disease (she can no longer work, requires full time care from her parents, is unable to live the life of an uninhibited person in her 20's), Lindsay has displayed an incredibly positive outlook on her recovery. Polymyositis is something she can recover from. She can be walking and living a normal day-to-day again. She just needs the right medical care to do so.

Lindsay has started seeing a specialist in Seattle, and for the first time in years, she is showing signs of recovery. Unfortunately, the doctor visits out to Seattle are very expensive and are quickly becoming impossible to cover. The purpose of this is to help fund future visits to Seattle. A typical visit ranges between $5-$10K with all travel included. Thus, I've set the initial goal at $10K so we can make sure Lindsay makes it out there again in the Fall.

Lindsay is a person who is genuinely beautiful both inside and out, incredibly caring and kind. It would mean so much to her, her family and I to help her recover fully in whatever way we can. We would be so grateful for any donation you may be able to provide.
