For those of you who know my best friend, Jill Gramer, you know what a great person she is and that she'd give you the shirt off her back. That being said, Jill can now use our help.
In 2014, Jordan’s senior year in High School, Jordan’s left lung collapsed and they found 2 tumors (thank God non cancerous). He was in the hospital for over a month due to the fact that he went into cardiac arrest. The doctors said his lungs should be fine going forward and that it is common for this to happen to tall, slender young men. He got a half scholarship to Dean College which was his 1st choice, a $62,000/yr school. Jill paid $1,600 out of pocket for college health insurance thinking it would save her a little money due to the fact she had to pay $323 a month for academic support. Well exactly 1 yr. later his right lung collapsed costing $9,999 plus a $2,800 ambulance bill. Jordan worked so hard his 1st semester to pass but in his 2nd semester he struggled and came down with anxiety due to the fact his bottom right lung started acting up. Instead of saying anything he shut down not wanting to let Jill down. He got sick and had to leave. They had to go to the emergency room and was told he is probably going to have another surgery and they both need to talk to someone because it is in the best interest for Jordan to go on a lung transplant list. When they got the results they were told the structure of his lungs is good but they believe he has this rare disease effecting his brain, lungs and kidneys. Right now the medical and education bills are getting out of hand. My Best Friend is a very prideful person and she will never ask for money. I have seen her work 3 jobs to support her Son. She didn’t want me to do this but I know she is struggling and this campaign is to help Jordan who has been like a nephew to me for many years.
Any amount will help.
Thank you.
