Memory of William (Bill) MacIsaac

Donation protected
I am raising money in Memory of my late husband William (Bill) Joseph MacIsaac who had just recently lost a tough battle of Multiple Myeloma. He was diagnosed in September 2012 with his stem cell transplant in May 2013. With trying 3 different treatments May 2016 they decided to put my husband on a trial. Just when he was starting his trial he got really sick and got the parainfluenza. I admitted him into the Hospital and tried treating him with antibiotics. He had his ups and downs for weeks until we got the news that the cancer was too aggressive and that we would not be able to continue with the trial. So I had the painful choice in stopping all treatment and kept him comfortable until his death July 23, 2016.
What I would like to do is raise money to get a proper cot for families to use while staying with their loved ones. While staying in the Health Science Hospital in St. John's in the Cancer ward their only cots was being borrowed to another ward. I was with my husband for over 5 weeks and as you all know the chairs that transform to beds are not the most comfortable to sleep on long term.
I currently don't know what the cost of one is but the more money we can raise we may be able to buy two or even buy supplies to make families more comfortable. When I do know the true cost I will update the fundraising amount.
Any amount of cots we do raise there will be in Memory of Bill on each one.

Thank you!
