Help with medical expenses & rehabilitation etc..
Donation protected
Hey everyone!. I want to thank you for the interest in helping someone who is in need of help. I have set up this Go Fund Me to help with my Dad’s medical expenses and inpatient rehab. He is also the one who would bring money into the home for bills, groceries and stuff needed for everyday expenses. (My parents would prbly me so embarrassed/upset for me asking for anything on their behalf as they have always been very quiet and reserved as far as their personal struggles). My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 15 years ago. At the time she was not given a good prognosis. After many surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments I am so blessed to say she is still here to this day! This took a huge impact on my family financially since my mom was no longer able to work and of course my dad being the amazing husband that he is, he stepped up and worked all day and night doing any and all side jobs he could to help keep the bills up to date. (My dad actually broke his back 4x when I was younger which put him out of work as well when I was a kid). Getting to today, a month and a half ago my dad began to have a horrible headache, throwing up, hear a loud noise all through out the night, double/blurred vision, extreme confusion, weakness, extreme fatigue. He knew something was not right, we knew something was not right. We went to the ER a total of five times (different ones) seen many specialist, regular doctors and so forth for a continued “all the test are normal (the ones they chose to do) & it sounds like Alzheimer’s. After over a month of this back and forth I didn’t care what the diagnosis was I just wanted one. Everyone said we would fine out the answers on the 27th, today that it was Alzheimer’s. On the 21st he had another awful day, and in my heart knew he would not make it to the 27th!. I prayed like I had never prayed, pleaded so hard with the good Lord above and asked for just one doctor to do one extra test that would show something, anything!. I had made my mind up that we were going back and if they failed to admit him again I was pulling out of school (my final was the next day) early and taking him to Emory. I had lost all hope in the medical system and kept getting hit with a wall just for trying to get my dad help he needed, help he deserved, help he begged for or at the bare minimum help him be comfortable and not throwing up, or falling etc. The following morning they admitted him with pleads from us but again we was told the outcome was likely to be Alzheimer’s. Again I tell them IDC I just want a answer so we can treat. A few days in the hospital and many test later, it was determined my dad had suffered not one but two different strokes. My heart was shattered that this was something that should have been addressed and taken seriously from the start but somehow it or he fell to the sidelines. Due to him not getting the adequate medical treatment in a timely manner he may have permanent damage to his brain and may not ever get back to being himself, in my head if they had taken him or us seriously the chances of reversing stroke symptoms in great. Now we don’t know and he will now have to do therapy for who knows how long and again we don’t know if he will ever regain his strength as he had it prior to the strokes he suffered. Since all of this he has been unable to drive, work the side jobs that brought money into their home, it was never a lot but enough to keep my mom and him afloat. They now have medical expenses, many ER bills, doctor bills, Hospital stays and so on. If anyone is able and find it in their heart to donate to help with any expenses regarding my dad or their bills since he was the one getting it
done as he felt he should and is now unable to do so, I would greatly appreciate it!. They would greatly appreciate it even though the would never ask for assistance. If you can’t donate any, that is completely fine because we know how it is to live payday to payday but if you can please Pray, my dad still has a long recovery and could use all of the prayers in the world. Again thank you so much for taking the time to read. God Bless You all. If you would not mind sharing this post would also be great. Thank you again.♥️
