Bob's Cancer

Last year my husband, Robert, had extensive surgery for cancer. He went thru radiation and chemo and we were hopeful. In April of this year he went in for another check up and we were told he has stage four, liver cancer. He has had many things go wrong. O ne week we were at the hospital four times in one week, twice in one day. Each visit averaged $870 . None of these visits were for the chemo he is receiving. Between the two rounds of cancer, we have gone thru savings. I asked a realtor to evaluate my home to put it on the market, but because it is not finished, has not been updated or well maintained, they estimate we will get less then $100,000 for it and the over three acres it sets on. That would mean we would be left with nothing to use for moving to a smaller home for both or one of us. After pricing apartments, even that is an expensive option. Senior housing is filled at the moment. He will be 76 in August, I am 71. I also have health problems and will not be able to stay here alone. I know a lot of people need help and feel badly asking for help, but I see no way out of this predicament. My husband has been given two to ten months to live and I am trying to find a way of survivng on my own after he is gone. Lingering medical bills will make that extremely difficult. If you can find it in your hearts to help us finish out our lives with sime dignity, we would be most grateful. Blessings and thank you.
