Last summer on August 26th one of my best friends Chris Haas, was diagnosed with colo-rectal cancer after going to his physician as he was experiencing unexplainable discomfort.
He was referred to Roswell Park Cancer Institute where he underwent both radiation and chemotherapy five days a week for over a month to shrink the tumor.
On March 18th of this year he had surgery to remove the cancer. The 9 hour plus surgery was successful and the doctors believe they removed all of the cancer.
Although this is great news, Chris is far from done. He will still need to have another surgery once the affected area is healed. Once he is healthy enough he will have to resume chemotherapy for another 4-5 mos.
Chris is a humble man who would never ask anyone for help. He didnt even tell me his diagnosis for months and I am sure many people in his life do not know as of this day.
Chris has owned The Answer Advertising for many years and is a sole proprietor with no employees. His buisness is essentially closed and income stalled while he undergoes this monumental challenge.
I know his bills will mount and having no income will (and has) put additional stress on him that will complicate the healing process.
All proceeds raised will give Chris the opportunity to concentrate on healing so he can return to his normal life. Any amount helps as it all adds up. I appeal to all my friends and family, his friends and family and any other person who is willing to help to donate and share this link.
Thanks for your help,
Mike Santoro
