Lillian is an amazing 4.5 year old little girl that has a very rare mitochondrial disease. It is a genetic disease that she has had since birth, and there is no cure or treatment. It saddens me to explain that it is a terminal disease, and has slowly become more and more difficult to really give her the care she needs. She needs constant care, lots of medical equipment, medicines and nursing care. At 4.5 years old she is a really big girl, weighing close to 60 lbs and is about 3.5 feet tall. Our nurses aren't really allowed to lift anyone over 50lbs, and it has gotten pretty impossible for Theresa, or myself, to lift her in and out of a bath tub. So, we have one of two choices, renovate our home to add another bath room with walk in shower, or move. To renovate our home would make the air quality questionable for Lillian, because she has a trach and ventilator to help her breath. Either way, to make the renovations to our current home or another home it is going to cost $30-60,000 dollars. Anyone that knows us know we hate to ask for help, but with all the other expensises, and the handicap Van we had to get this year also, we have come to the point where we need to do whatever we can for Lillian. We love all of you, and are grateful for even your prayers. Thank you so much and just know Lillian and our family love you all!!
