This is a picture of my son Joey and his beautiful family.  Joey has spent his lifetime going through medical struggles.  He was born a preemie weighing 1lb 8oz when I was only 24 weeks pregnant. He spent the majority of his first year of life in hospitals and had many touch and go moments to the time he was 6 years old.   A blood transfusion saved his life at 6, but infected him with the the Hepatitis C virus.  After many years of fighting the Hep C virus and finally beating it in 2015,  the potency of the medications along with his premature organs permanently damaged his kidney and he was diagnosed with  Stage V Renal Failure  leaving him in need of a kidney transplant.  Joe was so blessed to find a living donor within 3 months and surgery will be in late September.  

I wanted to start this gofund me campaign for Joey and his family because with surgery of this magitude, recovery is long, intensive and unfortunately very costly.
 My son will be out of work for several months and expenses can become very high between monthly family expenses, co-pays for follow-up appointments and the cost of very expensive anti-rejection medication for his body to be able to accept the donated kidney.  In addition my 7 year old grandson Jason is autistic and the family pays for various therapies and activities to help his developement.  If I can help it I wouldn't want these therapies to be interrupted because they can no longer afford it.  

It would mean so much to me if you can help my son, daughter-in-law and their 2 precious children through this very trying time of their lives.  A donation  of any kind would help  tremendously with medication, a doctor's bill or even Jason's therapy to be continued.  If we all chipped in somehow, perhaps this stressful time in their lives can be eased somehow.  Thank you for reading.
