Students Changing Education - A Film
Donation protected
We believe that we can change what's wrong in education only when we understand the problem.
We are making a documentary that will give voice to students, parents and teachers - the people whose lives are directly affected by public education.
This video was made last month to support the CO student walkout on the standardized test:
My name is Alex Kacsh, and I am a high school student. For the last few years, I have been leading a political movement in the state of Colorado to improve our education system. I go to an unconventional public school that focuses on individualizing each child's education. My school has allowed me to pursue my passions, travel the world, and try new experiences.
My involvement in grass-roots efforts to change education gives me the chance to speak with students, parents, educators and policy makers around the country. I'm thankful for that chance, butwhat I learn about the real problems facing schools, parents, and students remains largely unknown to the people it affects the most.
That's why I want to make this film - a documentary that will share all that I learn about politics, education, and what is happening to the youth in this country - a chance for you to hear from us, the students, and hopefully begin a conversation for positive change.
Creating a film does get costly! With your donation, we will be purchasing a camera, boom mic, and external hard drives so we can store our work!
