Getting my sick Dad well & homed.

Hello...I am Tammy Collins Ayers. Being in Public Safety the past 16 yrs, I am use to and good at helping others without thinking twice. However, I am not use too, or good at, asking for help for myself. I have had to tell myself this isn't for me, but for my Dad, in order to have the courage to do this funding campaign. My Dad is 70 yrs old and has came to a place in his life where he can no longer care for himself medically or financially. At this time, he is in a medical rehab, trying to get well from many medical issues. During his stay at Rehab it is really buying me time to come up with an aftercare plan for him. He previously lost an eye to cancer and now needs surgery on the other eye to be able to see. My hopes are that I can get some assistance financially to have his eye corrected and glasses, get him well enough to leave the rehab, and most importantly get him into an apartment or facility that provides assisted living for the elderly. I have a long road ahead of me to help my Dad both medically and transisitioning into a whole different lifestyle for him. My Dad basically has nothing except a small Social Security income. Without some help I can't make this happen. My Dads health has declined so bad and he will need home health care, as well. At the age of 70, with his health conditions, I have accepted that he won't be with us many more years. It would make me so happy for my Dad to be able to still have a small amount of independance in having an apartment as oppossed to the Nursing Home. I am humbly asking for any amount of help that one would feel they can do. Thank you for your prayers and not looking down on me for being in a place that I must ask for help. Much love--Tammy
