Support a Family's Fight Against Cancer

As someone who’s always looking for ways to help others, it’s near impossible to ask for help myself. Today, I humbly ask for your support.

I have been diagnosed with cancer. Of course, cancer is always a scary thing to deal with, but I am choosing to remain positive. It seems to have been caught early, and our hope is with surgery and radiation treatments I’ll have a full recovery. I am meeting with an oncologist and surgeon on August 7th to discuss my treatment plan and schedule next steps.

We currently have two children in college full time, one in high school and one in middle school. We are a very active family and our daughters are extremely invested in their educations and extracurricular activities. With my cancer diagnosis, I am being forced to slow down on my workload so I can focus on healing. This is where I humbly ask for your help.

We could use your help to make sure we can stay on top of college tuition payments, show choir and dance expenses, medical and household bills while I go through treatment. I have a unique situation where I am not eligible for PTO or FMLA, and our family NEEDS my income to stay afloat. I intend to continue working as much as possible through this, but I know things are going to get a bit rough before they get better.

My hope is to raise enough funds to ensure that our family’s basic needs are met and that our girls can continue their normal routines with minimal disruption so that I can focus on beating this diagnosis.
