Thank you for visiting the GoFundMe page of our friend David Carter. David left us peacefully on September 13, 2015 at 4:30 after a long and exhausting battle with his cancer. My name is Mark Moshlak. I was David’s best friend. Many people got to put my face to the name last weekend as well as knowing me before. I’ve known him since 2010 when we formed an amazing bond of friendship. Over the years we were there for one another building that friendship. I can’t begin to tell you how much wisdom I gained from him.
David tasked me with taking care of his final business, fulfilling his final wishes, and making sure when peacefully moved on it would be with the knowledge that he could rest knowing it would be taken care of. As David’s best friend, I will honor him and his faith in me. I will be organizing the cleaning parties of his apartment, closing out his business, making the funeral arrangements, and more in the upcoming weeks.
The upcoming tasks will be huge and daunting in itself. There’s a lot to be taken care of. David didn’t have financial resources. The costs will be mounting for the funeral, business closure, cleaning out his home, and whatever else may come that’s unexpected. So far these initial expenses are estimated at $4,500. I need your help to raise the necessary funds to take care of this.
My goal is to set the bar at $5,000 to make sure everything is covered. David was a member of some amazing communities. He was well loved, respected, admired, and accomplished. He never turned down a chance to help someone in need EVER. Now it’s his turn as he’s in need. Please find it within you to donate whatever you can. Anything is helpful in my goal for him.
