My name is Ashley and I'm creating this campaign to help my baby brother and his family in the midst of some very challenging circumstances.
On June 8, Noah, Brittany, Kye, and Elly excitedly packed up their life in Orange City and made the move to Loveland, CO. Everything seemed destined to be perfect. Their house sale was almost finalized, Noah and Britt both had jobs lined up that they were excited about, and the kids were happy, healthy, and ready to go.
Shortly after arriving in Colorado, Kye begain having seizures. He had never before had one, so they immediately began seeking out treatment. Unfortunately, Kye was diagnosed with Doose Syndrome, which is a very rare form of epilepsy that appears in young children and is quite difficult to treat. Kye also has Celiac's Disease, so this was a real double whammy. Kye is on medication, but the seizures have continued and have been becoming more and more frequent, especially these past couple of days. He is currently seeing a specialist in Denver, which means that they need to travel over an hour both ways each time he has to go there. We hope that they will soon find a way to successfully manage his seizures but don't know how long that will be.
In addition to dealing with Kye's seizures, Noah and Brittany's house sale fell through. It is currently on the market and they are having to pay rent in Colorado, as well as house payments and utilities back in Iowa. This is a burden regardless of other circumstances, but when combined with Kye's medical expenses the burden feels especially heavy. Brittany withdrew from the job that she had originally been planning on starting in order to be more accessible to care for Kye, and has a part-time in-home nursing job lined up, beginning in September. For the time being, circumstances are very challenging and they could use some extra support.
So will you consider supporting Noah, Britt, Kye, and Elly during this time? First and foremost, please remember them in your prayers. Pray for wisdom for the doctors, healing for Kye, and peace and patience for all. And if you can support them financially as well, we would be very grateful!
