My name is Kristy McKay and I am a long-time friend of the Lemley family, so long and close that I consider them family. They are extremely dear to me. Recently, Danny Lemley was involved in a UTV accident which resulted in a major injury to his lower leg, ankle, and foot. 

I'm not talking a scrape or a scratch here. The wound Danny has sustained is extreme and will affect his life and future in many ways, especially over the coming months. 

Danny was transferred from Bryan to Houston yesterday where he will receive treatment and endure several surgeries. This will all be quite a process for his entire family. His wife, Jessica, and sweet kiddos, Mark and Paige, live in Iola, so this means many long and frequent commutes ahead. 

At a minimum, we know that Danny will have several surgeries in the coming weeks and months to facilitate the healing process. He will be away from home for a while (no clear timeline yet) and of course out of work for an even longer duration. Jessica works as a dental hygienist and her boss is absolutely amazing but she will have to return to work very soon to support their family. They are stressed to the max, to say the least, with all of the unknowns regarding Danny's health and well-being. 

Many loving and caring friends and family members have reached out to offer their help and support. This family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of kind gestures, well wishes, and much needed prayers.  One way we can all help with one area of stress for this family is to create a fund to help provide for their needs during this time. These funds will be used for travel expenses, childcare, bills, and overall care for their family. We have no idea of what the medical expenses for this injury and process will be but we know for sure they will incur additional day to day expenses due to the circumstances of the situation. 

Danny and Jessica have two preschoolers...If you've ever seen Danny with his kids, you know he's all about them. This is a family closely connected with their church and community. Danny is truly the kind of man and friend who would do anything for anyone in need. We now have a chance to show him our love and support by lifting some of the financial burden from this family’s shoulders. Please join me in helping.
