Bent, not broken!
Tax deductible

Hi! I’m Kylie. I’m 9 years old and I live in Bossier City, LA. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Scoliosis when I was 7. A little before my 9th birthday I found out that the curves in my spine got a lot worse and that I had to wear a brace. I was nervous at first but I know I need to wear my brace so I can hopefully not have surgery. Right after I got my brace, my mom found me a group called Curvy Girls. It’s an international network of support groups for girls with scoliosis, like me! I go to meetings in Dallas, Texas. I had never met any girls with scoliosis before. My group is so fun and I learn so much. They all know what I’m going through and we help each other feel confident and strong! My group has helped me know that I might be bent, but I’m not broken! The Curvy Girls community is full of awesome kids, parents, and medical professionals and they are all dedicated to helping us fight our disease. I hope to become a Curvy Girls leader when I am old enough! I want to give back to Curvy Girls because they have helped me and my family so much. Since June is Scoliosis Awareness Month, I am donating my June allowance to Curvy Girls and I would like to ask you to join me in raising $1750 for them!
