"Success has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It's what you do for others." - Danny Thomas
Commander Armando Solis started the Flour Bluff NJROTC program back in 1993 and almost instantly it became a success! During Commander's 20+ years with the program, he's been to Navy Nationals 13 times, Grand Nationals 21 times and participated in a myriad of other tournaments!
Commander wasn't just focused on winning, he was/is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and providing an abundance of opportunities for youth to grow and develop into productive adults.
Commander has made an impact on hundreds of students and parents alike; he's an inspirational person and genuinely someone people like to be around.
Commander's legacy at Flour Bluff is finally coming to an end and it's time for us to give back to him by showing him how much his time and energy has meant to us!
We'll be having a Retirement Shindig in Corpus Christi, Texas, on June 17, 2017, to celebrate the memories and share stories of someone whose changed the lives of so many.
If Commander made a difference in your life and/or you'd like to be a part of the event, please consider donating! All funds raised will be used for venue, decorations, food, and other necessary expenses to make this day special for someone whose done so much.
We hope to see you and all family members (kids welcome) at the festivities in June 2017!
