At 24 months old, Brandon and Jessica's first born son, Braden, was diagnosed with Neurblastoma. After Braden's last scan, they found out that the cancer had come back and was aggressive. He then started a treatment of Antibody/Chemo that seemed to be working keeping it a bay. Surgery was done to remove the tumor. However, after his most recent PET scan, there are 6 places that they are recommending to be removed by surgery, AGAIN!
As if this wasn't enough for a family to go through, Jessica found a lump on the back of her thigh. It was the size of her hand. It started out hurting like she had pulled a muscle and then the pain went away. Being the busy cancer mom and mom to a newborn, she just figured that the mass would go away as well, but it hadn't. After several different doctor appointments, she landed at the sarcoma specialist/surgical oncologist. After reviewing her MRI, he said that the mass looked abnormal, so they went ahead and did a biopsy right then and there. She then had a dejavu converstion when she learned that SHE had CANCER! She has a rare high grade Sarcoma that is found in 1% of patients. The actual name is called, High grade Pleomorphic undifferentiated Sarcoma. Basically high grade means that it can spread easily. The cells under the microscope look aggressive.
Braden's surgery will be in NY with a top renown surgern, however Jessica will not be able to go since the chemo she is receiving will be in-patient for 5 days, every 21 days. She will have chemo for 6 months, then radiation, then surgery, a total of 9 months!
Thankfully, Jessica's husband and Braden's daddy, Brandon, manages his family owned company. This allows the flexibility for Brandon to be with Braden, Jessica, and newborn son, Bryson. However, Jessica will need to take time off of work, but will still have the expense of not one, but TWO CANCER PATIENTS. We, their family and friends have pledged to help the Boozers in this fight so they can provide for the best care for both Jessica and Braden. This account has been set up to cover the cost of treatments, surgeries, and lost wages due to Braden and Jessica's on-going treatment. Please help us provide this mom and son with the ability to fight this battle together. As Braden told his mommy as she began her first treatment, "NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE"!!!
Thank you for any support you can give this family.
