Hello! InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at OU would like your help raising $2500 to help us with New Student Outreach!
As you know, the beginning of the school year is once again on its merry way to our campus! This means we are about to have the unique opportunity of meeting over 4,000 new freshmen who are aching to find a loving community for the next four years, and we are so excited to invite them to our fellowship as we grow in our love for God and each other.
We are working hard to host a TON of fun, welcoming events within the first several weeks of the semester. We have set a fundraising goal of $2500 to cover the expense of several parties with free food (we fed hundreds of new students at parties last year!), snacks at Large Group Bible studies, and scholarships to help new students attend retreats!
We have a goal of signing up FORTY new students to come with us to our annual Fall Retreat and TEN new students to our Spring Retreat the following semester. In order to make things easier on them, we would like to offer fifty $25 new student scholarships!
Would you consider:
- Donating money to help us pay for our events to welcome new students?
- Sponsoring new students’ first InterVarsity retreat?
We aim to hit our goal of $2500 by August 15, a week before the first day of the semester and just a few days before the streets of Norman fill with nervous and eager new freshmen! Please pray that God would help us reach many students with the love of Jesus.
