Paws for Baily
Donation protected
My name is Baily Lindemann, I was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes on October 16, 2007. I was 7 years old when my Mom told me we needed to leave for Doernbecher's Children's Hospital urgently. I didn't know what Diabetes meant, I just knew there were a lot of doctors, nurses, and family surrounding me, so naturally I assumed this was a big deal. Every since then I have been checking my blood every 3 hours and taking insulin shots at least 6 times a day. There are times where my blood sugar is so high I slurr my words, and can't walk on my own. There has also been times my blood sugar was so low, I literally couldn't move. Unfortunately, as you get older your blood sugar becomes more unstable. For my safety, I need to the money to buy a Diabetic Alert Service Dog. The dog is trained to go everywhere with me, and alert me when my blood sugar is high or low. A service dog could potentially save my life one day. Please help me get the Diabetic Alert Service Dog by donating, I am thankful for anything you can give.
